Proposals for remediation include the following possible measures :

• Air-sparging/soil vapor extraction for in-situ treatment of chlorinated solvent.

• Pump and Treat — Extraction of groundwater via pumps and then treatment with air-stripping for ex-situ treatment of the chlorinated solvent plumes. 

• Injections of emulsified vegetable oil (EVO) into the gound to promote microbial degradation of contaminants.

• Injections of nano-scale zero valent iron (ZVI) into the ground to catalyze the breakdown of chlorinated solvents in groundwater.
